Dorothy Short Sleeved Cardigan (PDF Crochet Pattern)

Dorothy is a short sleeved collared cardigan which glamorously keeps the cold off. It is made with Godiva, a single merino DK yarn which is superbly soft.
Square and triangle block motifs are used. It has a loose fit and is written in 2 sizes.

Sizes

Small – up to 97cm (38 inch) chest
Medium/large – 98cm to 117cm (39 to 46 inch) chest

You will need

The Natural Dye Studio’s Godiva DK (100gr/220m):
Small - 6 skeins
Medium/Large – 7 skeins
You do not need to use skeins from the same dye lot, as Dorothy is made with motifs different dye lot colours can be mixed by crocheting alternate rounds in the different colours.

Crochet hook in size 4mm
Tapestry needle

Tension

The blocked motifs measure as follows:

Small size:
Square –3 inches wide
Triangle – 3 inches along each side

Medium/Large size:
Square –3.5 inches wide
Triangle – 3.5 inches along each side

It is important to get the tension correct so you will need to make several swatches and block them to establish the correct hook size for you.
