KNIT UNDER THE WILLOW DAY
Join the Natural Dye Studio knitting group for their annual summer get together; an informal relaxing afternoon spent enjoying the company and lusciousness of NDS yarns.
11am till 4pm Sunday August 8th 2010
Bring your....
Knitting, crochet, spinning yarny projects
A blanket or chair to sit on
Cake or bottle of wine to share.
Tea and coffee provided
If you’d like to join in with the BBQ (locally sourced best quality) please buy a £2 ticket in advance to help with catering numbers. There are several options, including beef burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers.
Sheep Competition
Create and make a little sheep preferably out of NDS yarn but the choice is yours. The sheep must be no bigger than 6 inches in any direction.
Please bring or send your sheep to the NDS for the open day. There will be an NDS prize given for the sheep voted the visitors favourite on 8th August. The sheep will then be photographed and sold in an ebay auction all proceeds being given to the Suffolk Punch Trust
The Suffolk Punch trust, is NDS’s next door neighbours, preserving the rare breed of Suffolk punch horses and Suffolk sheep. http://www.suffolkpunchtrust.org/
No limit to entries Please attach a label to your sheep so we know who to send the prize to if it is voted visitors favourite at 3.30 on 8th August 2010 NDS reserves the right to amend any details if necessary to keep within the spirit of competition.
If it rains on the day we will be knitting in the showroom and our marquee.
